I am standing as an Independent candidate for Arthur’s Hill in the May 7th 2026 Newcastle upon Tyne because Arthur’s Hill deserves strong, honest representation focused on people, not party politics.

I will campaign to have the unnecessary railings on the Monday Crescent children’s play areas replaced with safer ones. These spikes pose a danger of serious injury to children and other users of this much used and loved player area

Newcastle City Council will continue to fight the cost of living to make things fairer for residents. This support helps people manage bills, food, and daily costs more easily. It reduces stress and gives families more stability. By helping people cope, it builds stronger and better communities for everyone.

I strongly support protecting rents and making housing more affordable in Newcastle upon Tyne. Everyone deserves a safe, secure, and stable place to live without worrying about rising costs. This plan helps families feel settled and supported in their homes. In turn, it builds stronger communities and improves people’s everyday lives.

Keeping our streets and communities safe is very important for everyone. Tackling abusive behaviour, nuisance, disorder, and other anti-social actions helps people feel more secure in their daily lives. By working together and taking quick, firm action, problems can be dealt with before they grow. This approach builds stronger, safer communities where people can live peacefully.

Bin collections in Newcastle upon Tyne are a vital and essential service for all residents. They keep our streets clean, reduce waste, and help protect public health. Regular collections stop rubbish from building up and attracting pests. This service makes the city a cleaner, safer, and better place to live for everyone.

I support tackling fly tipping in Newcastle because it is illegal and harms our environment and community. It makes our streets look dirty and unsafe for everyone. We should all work together to keep our area clean and safe. If you see fly tipping, please report it to the council so action can be taken quickly.

Investing in Newcastle’s health services and local walk-in centres helps people stay healthy and get treatment early. This means fewer people will need emergency care. More peeople will also be able to work and live normal lives. In the end, it helps build a stronger and healthier community.

Potholes are a problem for everyone. I will make sure Newcastle City Council responds to reports and fixes potholes faster. This will make roads safer, reduce damage to cars, and improve our communities.

I believe every child should have a fair and decent education. Supporting learning at every stage helps them build important life skills. We should continue to invest in SEND. It gives young people the confidence to grow and succeed. When children are supported, communities grow stronger together.

Keeping libraries open without cutting hours is very important for our communities. Libraries give people a safe place to learn, read, and connect with others. They support students, families, and anyone who needs access to books and information. By supporting our libraries, we help build stronger and more connected communities.

Newcastle upon Tyne Council should continue to invest in parks, green spaces, and allotments for everyone to enjoy. These spaces give people fresh air, exercise, and a place to relax. They help improve health and bring communities together. Investing in them helps create a greener, healthier, and more vibrant city for all residents.

Continuing to support travel concessions for the elderly and disabled is very important. It helps people stay independent and get to shops, appointments, and social activities. This support reduces isolation and improves wellbeing. It also helps build a fair and caring community where everyone can stay connected.

Fighting to keep the price cap on transport is very important for everyone. It helps keep fares affordable so people can travel to work, school, and appointments. This support makes daily life easier, especially for those on lower incomes. By standing up for fair prices, we help build a more equal and connected community.

Newcastle City Council to manage its finances carefully and responsibly. This helps make sure public money is used wisely and not wasted. It means residents get better services and good value for money. Careful spending helps build a stronger and more reliable future for everyone.
